Yavapai Lodge Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon

Yavapai Lodge was surprising as the rooms exceeded my expectations considering the setting. However, I was less impressed with the cafeteria experience, which was quite disappointing. The location inside the park is convenient, but the issues with dining and navigation could use improvement.

I had a reasonably good stay at this hotel, appreciating the tidy rooms and the excellent location. While the staff was friendly and helpful, the Wi-Fi situation was frustrating, and some amenities could use improvements. The price was great for the area, but the dining options left a bit to be desired.

I had a pleasant stay in the East room section, where everything was clean and comfortable. The shower could be better, but the bathroom was neat. It was great to have a coffee/market shop right next door for quick grabs. However, my experience was overshadowed by the surprise switch to Yavapai Lodge West, which lacked air conditioning and felt like a downgrade. I felt misled about my booking, which ruined my initial excitement and left me frustrated with customer service.

However, be prepared for long walks to the shuttle stops, especially if you're in a building far from the main lodge, and keep in mind that the rooms could use some updating.
